Digital Remarketing Solutions (DRS) was founded by Gary Monaghan and Jim Kerr to help automotive businesses modernise how vehicles are bought, valued and sold in an increasingly digital world.

With decades of combined experience across automotive retail, fleet, leasing and digital marketplaces, DRS was created to solve a growing industry challenge — how to capture vehicle opportunities earlier, set realistic expectations sooner, and reduce reliance on late-stage remarketing channels.

Today, DRS provides a suite of connected tools that help automotive businesses take control of upstream vehicle journeys, from initial enquiry through to sale or disposal.

Gary Monaghan

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Gary Monaghan has spent more than 25 years working across the automotive ecosystem, building a career focused on vehicle acquisition, remarketing and digital customer journeys.

His experience spans leasing, fleet, OEM, dealer and finance sectors, giving him a deep understanding of how vehicles move through the industry — and where friction and lost margin occur.

Gary combines strong commercial knowledge with a hands-on passion for technology and product design. This blend of skills has enabled him to lead the creation, development and delivery of multiple automotive technology solutions used by major manufacturers, finance companies and leasing providers.

Prior to founding Digital Remarketing Solutions, Gary was a shareholder in JTK Automotive Ltd, where he helped design and deliver digital remarketing solutions for organisations including:

• Citroën UK & Banque PSA Finance
• Toyota GB & Toyota Financial Services
• Lexus GB & Lexus Financial Services
• BMW Group & BMW Financial Services
• Nissan, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Chrysler
• LeasePlan UK, Motability Operations and Alphabet GB

JTK Automotive was later acquired by British Car Auctions (now BCA Marketplace), further validating the commercial impact of the solutions developed.

Today, as Co-Founder & CEO of Digital Remarketing Solutions, Gary leads the company’s product vision, strategy and partnerships, helping automotive businesses capture vehicle opportunities earlier, set realistic expectations sooner and reduce reliance on traditional remarketing channels.

Jim Kerr CAE FIMI

CO-FOUNDER (RETIRED)

Jim has over 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry, beginning his career as an apprentice mechanic before progressing through the ranks to senior management and director roles across a broad spectrum of the sector.

In 1993, Jim launched the first ever electronic vehicle auctions for an OEM, at a time when the internet was still in its infancy. He has remained at the forefront of automotive digital remarketing ever since.

As Co-Founder of Digital Remarketing Solutions, Jim helped establish the foundations of the business and its reputation for delivering robust, scalable digital remarketing solutions to OEMs, leasing companies and dealer groups.

Jim has now retired from day-to-day involvement in the business but remains a valued co-founder and part of the company’s heritage.
